Honeymoon Planning: Adventures in Biking

First of all, a huge thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our marriage this weekend!  We had a blast and hope you did as well!

A few updates as we get ready to leave on our honeymoon.

The Plan:
Fly to Edmonton with our bikes, drive to Jasper, stay there a few nights, then start biking 750 miles through the Canadian Rockies to end in Missoula, Montana  and ship our bike boxes home.

We are both pretty excited to get this adventure underway, even though it is crazy by many standards.  I learned that well at the rehearsal dinner, Mike likes crazy adventures ;)  So here is to our first adventure as a married couple!  We are both so excited to get away and live simply for the next few weeks after the hustle and bustle of finishing the school year, moving me in, and wedding planning.  The thought of only thinking about where we will eat, sleep, find ice-cream, avoid chasing dogs, and bears is comforting.

The flights are booked (finally booked that return flight to stop any of Miguel's threats of biking home, although I was ready to just get a job in Missoula if we didn't have a flight booked).  Lodging for the beginning and ending is secured.  In the middle we will mostly go day by day to see what the weather is like and when we would like days off.

Mike has already discovered that we end in Missoula the weekend of the Missoula Marathon, which you all know he is excited about.  Thankfully he isn't into marathons, and he really loved the idea of a relay half, but thankfully that doesn't seem like it's a thing there, so only the 5k option is left (or the beer run!)  We haven't signed up yet, but if I had to put money on it I would bet we will be ending our 750 mile bike ride with a 5k race before catching the plane later that day.
